Are you frequently needing to use the bathroom this week? That’s not your baby just yet. It’s your uterus expanding at quite a fast pace. By the time week 10 comes around it will be the side of a small grapefruit. You may experience some very weird cravings in your first trimester; however, this isn’t the case for some women. We would love to know the weirdest craving you have had so far. Has anyone fancied eating their dog’s dinner? Weird!

Over the next 6 weeks, your baby will quadruple in size and have will have undergone significant changes. For this week, your baby’s head is growing faster than the rest of the body. As the head grows there is development with the eyes  and ears.

Ingrediënten

  • 2 tbsp of tinned chickpeas
  • Squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp of low-fat Greek style yoghurt
  • 1 eetlepel olijfolie
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • 1 knoflookkruid
  • 1 piece of pitta bread cut into strips
  • 1 carrot cut into sticks
  • 1 stick of celery cut into sticks

Kook instructies

    • Pop the chickpeas, lemon juice, yogurt, oil, spices and garlic into a blender and mix together until smooth.
    • Serve with pitta bread strips, carrot and celery sticks.

  1. Get lots of rest where possible! You will be feeling extra tired this week, so listening to your body should be your number 1 priority.
  2. You may feel like you’re going to feel this way forever, but I can promise you, you won’t! Try writing in a journal with what you are feeling and experiencing so later on, you can look back on this wonderful time of your life!
