Lots of changings are happening in your body this week. You have welcomed a new organ into your body. The placenta. Your baby is attached to this by its umbilical cord. This is what pumps blood, oxygen, nutrients and hormones to your baby. It is firmly attached to the womb and it will leave your body after birth.

Your baby is happy kicking and doing somersaults in your belly, however you won’t feel movement just yet but it’s now only a few weeks off. Your baby can now taste what you eat, so its super important to be eating healthy from now on in. Your baby’s hairline is forming an fine hair is starting to grow.

Ingrediënten

    • Macaroni
    • 2 el boter
    • 1 ½ whole wheat flour
    • 1 kopje melk
    • 1 cup of grated cheddar
    • 1 cup of pasteurized shredded mozzarella
    • 1 beker diepvrieserwten
    • 1 cup of sweet corn
    • 1 tbsp grated parmesan
    • 1 tbsp wheat germ

Kook instructies

    1. Verwarm de oven voor 170 graden.
    2. While the macaroni is cooking, melt the butter into a non-stick saucepan over a medium heat.
    3. Add flour and cook until a paste forms stirring constantly. Slowly add milk and stirring briskly. Bring to a simmer until the sauce thickens. In a large bowl, combine sauce with shredded cheddar and mozzarella.
    4. Place peas and sweetcorn in the microwave for 2 minutes.
    5. Once cooked, add the pasta, peas, sweetcorn, carrots to the cheese sauce. Stir until it is all coated. Pour pasta mixture into a 9-inch round casserole.
    6. In a small bowl, combine parmesan and wheat germ. Sprinkle over pasta.
    7. Bake for around 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

  1. It is now time to start sleeping on your left side, as it helps keep a healthy flow of blood between you and your baby.
  2. Let your employer know of any upcoming antenatal appointments as you are entitled to reasonable paid time off work to attend these classes.
  3. Book in for a pregnancy massage to help prevent cellulite.
