Je lichaam in week 26

When changing position or standing up to quickly, you may have noticed that feel lightheaded or dizziness. This is very common at this stage in pregnancy, as the increased volume of blood takes a little while longer to distributed to the rest of your body.

Making sure you are not getting up to quickly can reduce those dizzy spells. If however, you do find yourself become faint, sit down wherever you are, with your head in between your knees and take a few deep breaths. Allow the blood from your legs to travel up to your brain as quickly as possible.

At this point in your pregnancy, your baby's eyelids will have opened. Every baby is born with blue eyes, but the final colour of their eyes is not revealed until many weeks after you have given birth.

Ingrediënten

  • 2 eetlepel olijfolie
  • 500g beef cheek
  • 1 kopje kikkererwten uit blik
  • 2 wortelen
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 teentjes knoflook
  • 1 ui
  • 95g tomato paste
  • 400 g tomatenblokjes in blik
  • 1 litre beef stock
  • 125g risoni pasta
  • 100 g babyspinazieblaadjes

Kook instructies

    • Heat oil in a pan over a medium – high heat. Season beef, then cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
    • Add carrot, celery, garlic and onion to pan and cook for 3-4 minutes or until soften. Return the beef to pan with tomato paste and cook, stirring for 1 minute.
    • Add tomato and stock, while seasoning. Then bring to a simmer.
    • Reduce to a low heat and partially cover. Cook for 2 hours or until beef is tender.
    • Add risoni and cook for a further 10 minutes. Stir in the spinach until wilted.
