Je lichaam in week 12

Welcome to the last week of your first trimester! Bet your glad that’s over, right? Symptoms like morning sickness may be slowly making an exit and that you might have more energy than previous weeks. Women say that the second trimester is usually a breeze, but as your baby and your bump grows bigger, it can mean other pregnancy related issues like back pain and sciatica might be making an entrance. If at all you feel like it gets too much, mention it to your midwife or GP for some medically trained advise.

Your baby is growing bigger as the weeks go on. That is what you want for a healthy baby. They can now open and close their fists and can make sucking movements with the muscles in their mouth.

Ingrediënten

    • 1 kopje walnoten
    • 1 bekeramandelen
    • Pasteurized feta
    • ¼ cup raw cacao powder
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring
    • 1 cup dates

Kook instructies

  1. With using a food processor add the walnuts, almonds and cocoa powder. Blend in short bursts until coarse.
  2. Add the vanilla flavouring and dates and belt in short bursts until the mixture is sticky and clumpy.
  3. Scoop 2 tablespoons and roll into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture has been used.

  1. You may now just be finding it quite uncomfortable to sleep through the whole night. It’s a great time to start thinking about investing in a pregnancy support pillow.
  2. As you start to tell people your big secret, it is suggested before you tell your work friends that you do speak to your employer and let them know. They will be overjoyed for you and probably will want to know how you have held it in all this time!
  3. Writing a birth plan to present to your midwife is also a good idea, try to be flexible with what you want as anything can happen during labour, so as long as you and your baby are safe and healthy that is all that matters.
